Star Of Happy Days Posts Support for Wife Getting Scan for Brain Tumors

When actor Scott Baio, a star of Happy Days, appeared on the show in the 1970s, he played the likeable character Chachi Arcola, The Fonz’s younger cousin. While Scott Baio continues to act and direct, his biggest role these days is that of real-life family man and husband to wife, Renee Sloan.

Prayers for Scott Baio’s wife

Renee and Scott recently posted on Twitter about Renee’s MRI for annual brain tumor scans.

Doctors diagnosed Scott Baio’s wife, Renee, in 2015 with a meningioma brain tumor. Before that, she suffered for almost two years with migraines and cluster headaches.

Like many other women, doctors initially cited hormonal changes as the culprit, as she was in her 40s and approaching menopause. Renee told People at the time, “I want to raise awareness about this. Unfortunately, a lot of women are given this explanation and they need to get checked out: An MRI didn’t find the tumor, but an MRI with contrast did find that.”

That desire to help educate the public about this type of tumor, which affects 6,500 people, primarily women, each year, is what drives actor Scott Baio and his wife Renee to speak openly about Renee’s health tests and the ongoing efforts to stay healthy.

Just as the two asked for prayers at the time of Renee’s diagnosis, they share insights and encouragement to help others who may be suffering today. Renee said, “God doesn’t challenge weak people. He has put this on me and I’m not going to question it. If I can save one person along the way, I’m fine.”

Of course, Renee’s initial post showing off her 2022 annual test and Scott’s retweet of it were well received. Fans expressed their continued support and appreciation for Scott and Renee, whom he called “my girlfriend” in his post. Offering well wishes and prayers, the vast majority received the information as it was supposed to, without criticism.

But, as always, there is someone who responds negatively. One individual commented, “Radiation from the scanner is going to cause cancer! What silly behavior!” To this, Scott responded with facts about it.

Mr. Baio, we liked him as Chachi, and we like him even more because he takes care of Renee and does his part to help others stay informed and healthy too.
“I always thank my God for remembering you in my prayers”,
